Japanese Packing Design

This is an example of Packaging from a book given to me by Ms. Conroy. Between the book I got from you and this book i've been thinking about keeping it more traditional as possible. I was thinking of making some of the paper packaging out of watercolor paper and using actual wood for the wood pieces. Maybe I can make more than one piece and design packing from both the paper and the wood.

Example

Just an example of how small these can get.

Tea pots

This is the side handle tea pot, which is one of my favorites. It is meant to serve maybe one or two people and small in size. I like that they are different from the traditional tea pots we see in the stores on a daily basis. The top one is a more modern design and is made of glass but it's also a possibility.

Yunomi tea cups and packaging

This is some of the Yunomi tea cups we talked about. They are small tea cups with very little and simple, to no design on them. The artist rely on the glaze and firing options to give these cups character.

Packaging ideas for tea cups and bottles

Wood bottle idea I was telling you about. Maybe I can make something with water color paper and print a logo on it. The water color paper will give it texture.
